Jorge's El Patio started out literally as my patio in Seattle, Washington, on Alki Beach. It was a place to get good friends together, experience great wine and food, and develop friendships. After getting asked enough times for recipes, I decided to make them available to select friends and family members and now, everyone else.
The recipes reflect my unique tastes (I make food I like) and may not suit everyone's palate. The recipes have all been tested and re-tested and I would love to hear anyone's suggestions for improving them. But this is not just a recipe blog. As I find new gadgets that are cool and useful in the kitchen, I'll post them as well as anything else interesting that would help one in creating a warm and inviting get-together. I am also passionate about wine, especially wine from the Pacific Northwest, namely, Willamette Valley and Walla Walla. I will alert you to any great finds there and always appreciate recommendations!
After five years in Tucson, Arizona, Jorge's El Patio is now located in beautiful Walla Walla, Washington. I'm looking forward to expanding Jorge's El Patio and developing more food ideas based on the wonderful wines of the Pacific Northwest and locally-sourced food.
